Don’t Know Anything About Publishing? I Can Help!

My Mom doesn’t know what I do.

Don’t get me wrong — Jane is a smart lady. She understands that I work with people who want to write books and that somehow, at the end of the process, that happens.

But that’s about as far as our conversations go. Because in order to “get” what I do, my mom would have to know about comp titles and the submission process and the slimmest margins in the world and how Rachel Hollis is the Taylor Swift of publishing and about a bajillion other things I don’t really want to get into at Christmas.

Publishing is complex AF.

I get it.

I’ve been explaining it since 2004.

And I’ll keep explaining the insular world of traditional book publishing because I know there are so many awesome voices out there that need to be heard and amplified with a book.

But I don’t know what you don’t know. Or even what you want to know.

So: Email me your questions about publishing, please! Or drop them in a dm on social and let’s talk.
