I hate Christmas Day.

Yep.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Christmas music and start playing holiday tunes in November. I have multiple holiday sweaters and my apartment explodes with Christmas decor immediately after Thanksgiving. I have lots of opinions about what makes a Christmas movie, and what the good Christmas movies are (love DieHard, hate A Christmas Story).

I think I hate Christmas Day because of the pressure. There’s so much pressure — to get the gifts you wanted, to give the gifts loved ones wished for, to just be this perfect person who loves Jesus, likes to bake cookies, and decorates with tinsel.

There’s a lot of pressure to be perfect and to do everything right.

I see that same pressure with entrepreneurial authors.

I need to get my book out NOW.

What if I don’t make the right hire? The right investment? Do the right thing on Instagram?

I want to build my audience and author platform FAST. How soon can I get my book deal?

Simply typing that makes me feel edgy and anxious, so if you feel that way you are not alone.

What I want you to know is that IT WILL BE OKAY.
