Make Your Book Journey 1% More Fun

I’ve got a question for you.

How much pressure are you putting on your book journey?

Do you have a date in mind when your book will be “out there”?

Are you stressing over every like and comment on your social media?

Do you beat yourself up about being “behind” or not where you “should” be?

How often are you checking your competitors’ websites and social posts?

If you resonate with any of these statements, it’s likely that you are chasing and pressurizing the fuck out of your goals. I get it because I’ve been there. A few years ago, I started a run coaching business that completely failed. Partly that’s because I wasn’t meant to be doing that work but more importantly, it’s because I put a ton of pressure on myself to succeed.

I was waking up every day and chasing success. I would spend hours looking at my competitors’ websites. My mood would shift from jubilant and hopeful to stormy and bleak in a millisecond based on who responded to my Instagram posts. I was caught up in what everyone else thought and was doing instead of focusing on my own feelings and work.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I see that same chasing, pressurized mindset throughout online entrepreneurship and in Platform Builders…
