There’s Never Been a Better Time to Follow Your Dreams.

In college, my friend Brandi and I used to play a game with new people we met.

The game was simple. We would ask everyone:

If you died today — like right now — would you be happy with your life?

Keep in mind, we were 22 years old.

Without fail, we’d go around the room or the car or the bar or wherever, and almost everybody would say, “No.”

Often, I remember being the only one who would say “Yes.”

I’ve played this game more recently with friends and family, and usually I’m still the only one answering yes. And that’s OK — the point of the game wasn’t consensus, but to start an interesting conversation.

What did people still want to do? What was left undone?

2020 — with its pandemic, protests and everything else — has prompted a lot of deep conversations. For many of my clients, it’s been a catalyst of change, pushing them to take action on their dreams.

Of making an impact.

Of growing an audience.

Of helping people.

Of pursuing a lifelong dream to write a book and be a published author.
