Why I Don’t Offer a Guarantee

I’ve talked with more than 100 entrepreneurs and experts so far this year who wanted to work with me to build their audience, complete a book proposal and eventually, publish a book.

What I’ve heard over and over again in these conversations is that y’all want to know exactly when you’ll be able to work with us on a proposal, talk with agents and land the six-figure book deal you’ve been dreaming about.

You want numbers. Specifics. Benchmarks.

A proven methodology and the right way to accomplish your goals.

But there is no such thing.

I hear all the time that success feels vague, and you know what?

That’s absolutely true and it’s part of the reason why I don’t offer guarantees — or refunds.

I have an incredible success rate for clients who complete proposals with us.

90% of those clients secure a literary agent and land a book deal.

But that success? Is largely up to you.

I cannot and will not guarantee success for anything I offer — even though I believe in the work my team and I do wholeheartedly. That’s because “success” is nebulous and a lot of it is out of our hands.

I help entrepreneurs, experts and thought leaders create book proposals that sell to major publishers. I also run marathons, save senior dogs and love the Mets.
