Your Book Isn’t About You
Before reading this, you might be thinking . . .
But it’s MY story. This book is TOTALLY about me!
Or maybe
But I’ve got so much to share from my journey . . . . .
And while that CAN be true I’ve noticed a difference between my clients who are figuring out their businesses, their audience, and their message and those who are million dollar success stories.
It starts with our very first call together.
If a potential client’s application and our initial call is focused on THEM and why THEIR message is important . . . well, then I know it’s very, very likely without even having to Google that their platform, business, and concept isn’t ready for a literary agent or a book deal.
But if all a potential client can talk about is their clients and audience and how this book will serve that audience . . . . well, then we’re in business.
Truth is, I actually didn’t pick up on this difference until I started working with seven-figure entrepreneurs. I started to notice that, right from the start, our conversations were markedly different. These entrepreneurs are all about their clients.
How, where and when their business served their peeps.
